A telc B2 study plan that adapts to your real pace
Fall behind, get busy, move your exam date — your Heloria study plan notices and adjusts. Here's how the tutor keeps your telc B2 plan honest over time.

Short answer: Your Heloria study plan isn't a static PDF. The tutor compares your real pace — how long your recent sessions actually ran and how often you show up — against your planned time budget and target date. When they drift apart it tells you, offers concrete options (spend more or less time, add or drop a study day, move the date), and — only if you agree — updates your profile and regenerates the plan. You can also just ask, "Am I on track?"
Every study plan is wrong by week two
You build a plan around good intentions: five days a week, forty minutes a session, exam in ten weeks. Then a work deadline eats a week, a couple of sessions run short, and the plan on paper no longer matches the life you're living. Most plans don't notice. They keep promising a readiness they were never going to reach — and you find out too late.
A plan is only useful if it stays honest as your pace changes. That's the difference between the fixed 10-week telc B2 plan as a starting structure and a plan that keeps adjusting to reality.
What the tutor actually watches
Heloria's tutor builds a quiet picture of your pace from what you actually do:
- How long your recent sessions really ran — not the time you planned, the time you spent.
- How often you're showing up — your real frequency versus your planned study days.
- How far you are from your target date — the signed number of days ahead of or behind where the plan needs you to be.
- Which way your readiness is trending — up, flat, or slipping.
None of that lives in a settings screen you have to remember to check. It's in the daily ritual itself, where the tutor already is.
It offers — you decide
When your real pace and your plan disagree, the tutor raises it in conversation and offers real choices rather than silently rewriting anything:
- Spend more or less time per session — bring the plan back in line by adjusting the effort, up or down.
- Add or drop a study day — change how many days a week the plan assumes.
- Move your target date — push the exam out (or pull it in) so the plan targets a date you can actually hit.
Crucially, nothing changes until you agree. The tutor can only update your profile and regenerate the plan on your explicit say-so — it never quietly moves your exam date or rewrites your week behind your back. You stay in charge; the tutor just makes the trade-offs visible.
"Am I on track?" — answered on demand
You don't have to wait for the tutor to raise it. Ask "Am I on track?" mid-session and it answers with your real figures: your recent pace, where that puts you against your target date, and which way your readiness is heading. If the honest answer is "not quite," it offers the same options — and if you take one, the plan and your dashboard update to match.
What's live today — and what isn't
Adaptive planning is live now for telc Deutsch B2, for English speakers learning German. It works on the plan Heloria already designs for you and keeps it current as your pace changes.
Other exams (Goethe, ÖSD, TestDaF), other language pairs, and mobile are on the roadmap — not available yet. We say that plainly rather than imply more than we ship.
FAQ
Does my study plan change if I fall behind? Yes. The tutor compares your real pace against your plan and, when they diverge, offers to adjust the time per session, your study days, or your target date — then regenerates the plan if you agree.
Will it move my exam date without asking? No. Nothing changes without your explicit agreement. The tutor surfaces the options; you choose.
Can I ask whether I'm on track? Yes — ask "Am I on track?" any time and the tutor answers with your actual pace and distance to your target date.
What if I want to study more, not less? The adjustment goes both ways. If you're ahead or want to push harder, you can add a study day or more time per session and the plan re-plans around it.
What does it cost? Heloria is free in early access, no credit card.
