About

We turned a method that worked into a tutor that remembers.

Heloria began as a personal system for passing telc Deutsch B2 — a daily ritual, a rolling progress log, a recurring-mistakes tracker and a vocabulary list, all kept by hand. It worked. So we're building the software that runs it for everyone.

An overhead view of a tidy study desk — an open notebook with handwritten corrections, index cards, a fountain pen and a closed laptop — the method worked out by hand before any software.
The origin

Validated by hand, before any code.

The whole method was tested manually: every day, a focused session in German; every session, corrections in a fixed format; every week, the patterns that kept costing points, drilled until they stopped.

The painful part wasn't the practice — it was the bookkeeping. Re-uploading notes, regenerating files, reminding the tutor where you left off. Heloria automates all of it, so the only thing left to do is practise.

What we believe

Four principles behind every decision.

01

Honest over flattering

A correction you can trust beats polite vagueness. Heloria tells you what would actually lose points — kindly, but clearly.

02

A ritual, not an app to open

Progress comes from showing up daily. We design for the habit, not for screen time.

03

Memory is the product

A tutor that forgets is just a chatbot. Everything you do is summarised, carried forward, and built on.

04

Exam-specific, always

Generic practice doesn't pass a specific exam. We model the real telc rubric and task formats — graded in-chat tasks and a live Sprechen exam, scored on the marks examiners actually use.

Early access · free

Still early — and that's the point.

We'd rather have real learners using Heloria and shaping it than build in private. It's free while we're in early access — join us and help decide what comes next.
